Future climate projections from the World Climate Research Programme’s (WCRP’s) CMIP3 multi-model dataset are statistically downscaled using the CRU Cl 2.0 20th Century climate dataset. The CMIP3 multi-model datasets also were used by the IPCC for the 4th Assessment Report.
Download projected future climate grids by:
- Emission scenario (a1b, a2 or b1)
- Climate model (e.g. BCCR BCM 2.0)
- Variable (temp=temperature or prec=precipitation)
- Year (1975, 2050 or 2090)
The downloadable datasets on this page are in a GZIP compressed tar file format (.tgz). Windows users may need to use a third-party application, such as 7-Zip, to unzip these.
The downscaled datasets were produced with support of the University of Wisconsin-Madison Department of Geography, the Nelson Institute’s Land Tenure Center, and Conservation International.
